When would you rather rinse?

We carry a rapid solution you rinse in a few hours and an overnight one you sleep in. Same result, different route.

This decides whether a rapid solution actually fits your day.

A few safety questions

Check anything that applies. None of these necessarily stop your appointment, they just change how we prep.

What happens when you arrive

The spray itself takes about fifteen minutes. The machine is loud and the solution is cool on the skin, both of which surprise people the first time.

Your artist guides you through each pose. You'll be asked to keep your arms up and your palms facing the floor. Dropping your arms mid-spray is what creates creases at the elbow.

Undress to whatever you're comfortable in. Most clients wear a dark bra and underwear or nothing at all. You'll be given a hairnet, worn behind the ears with a little hairline showing so your face doesn't stop at a hard edge.

One thing we ask permission for

During the service your artist may need to lightly adjust your hands, wrists or arms to get an even result.

Keeping it

Three things shorten a tan faster than anything else: sulfates, mineral oil, and exfoliating acids. Check your body wash and your lotion, because they hide in both.

Beyond that, skip hot showers, pat dry instead of rubbing, and keep the skin moisturized. A tan on dry skin fades in patches.

Service agreement

I am requesting a sunless tanning application from Honey Hue Tans. I confirm that the information I have given on this form is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge, and I understand that my artist relies on it when choosing and mixing my solution.

I understand that sunless tanning applies a temporary cosmetic color to the outermost layer of the skin using DHA, and that it provides no protection from the sun whatsoever. I will continue to use sunscreen.

I understand that results vary from person to person and are affected by my skin, my preparation, my aftercare, and how my own skin absorbs DHA. No specific shade or duration is guaranteed.

I understand that solution may temporarily transfer to clothing, bedding, upholstery and light-colored fabrics, and that Honey Hue Tans is not responsible for staining. I will wear dark, loose clothing after my appointment.

I confirm I have disclosed any pregnancy, allergy, skin condition, recent cosmetic procedure or broken skin on this form. I accept responsibility for anything I have not disclosed.

I understand DHA is applied as a fine mist and that I may be offered a nose filter and asked to hold my breath during facial passes. If I have a respiratory condition, I have disclosed it above.

I release Honey Hue Tans and its artists from liability for any reaction, staining, dissatisfaction with color, or other outcome arising from this service, except where caused by gross negligence. I agree to report any adverse reaction promptly so it can be addressed.

I understand appointments are reserved for me specifically and that late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a fee.

Before you come in

Shower, exfoliate and shave at least eight hours ahead, ideally the night before. Arrive with clean skin and no lotion, deodorant, perfume or makeup. Wear something dark and loose, and bring flip flops if you have them.
